Free Items

In future blog posts, I will be reviewing how to get a slew of items for free in the city.  Some acquisitions may be crass, like your mother-in-law... Others will be easy.  It all requires just a little reading and understanding.

Tune in over the next couple weeks where I will review free newspapers, free samples and where to find them consistently, as well as other free items.  Occasionally I will elaborate on how to both negotiate better prices for wares and where the cheap nice products live (say hello to "Sample Sales!")

Free Information Sources: If you are like me, and you love to read and get an idea of what's happening in the city on any given day... read the New York Metro or New York AM newspapers.  They are free and make their money from advertisers.  When you see someone giving them away in the subway... they are truly free.  There's no catch... your worth is that advertisers hope you see their ad and spend money.  The paper's worth is that they can claim another reader.  That's it.  So grab one... read... enjoy!

To find them, look for the metal orange Metro paper dispenser on the sidewalk or the green New York AM dispensers.  Cheers.
